- [Instructor] There's no question that knowing your users is critical to the success of your products. When it comes to developing the user interface, it's important to understand how your users will be interacting with your application and the challenges they face. Let's take a look at some of the different types of disabilities that your users may have. First, let's talk about disabilities that affect vision. A very common type of visual deficiency is color blindness where a person might not be able to distinguish colors appropriately. The most common type is red/green color blindness followed by blue/yellow and total color blindness. Low vision is the decreased ability to see that is not fixable by usual means such as using glasses. Sometimes, the visual acuity can be low enough that this person can be considered legally blind.
