- [Instructor] For photo app, we will use the Pixabay website as our source for images. Pixabay has a rest API that we will be calling to get photos for our recycler view. To get an API key, you'll have to sign up for a account at pixabay.com. Once you've signed up, you will receive an API key that is displayed on the documentation page at pixabay.com/api/docs. Your API key is highlighted in green. Postman is a great way to test APIs to see what data we receive from the search API and is available as a Chrome extension or a separate app. You can download it at getpostman.com. Let's copy the Pixabay URL from the docs site. Go into Postman. Paste it in. Type question mark key equals, and we'll go back to our site. Copy our API key. Paste that in. Then say and q equals nature and image type equals photo. Now we're going to press Send. If everything was set up correctly, you should see some data. Notice the Hits array.
