Join Nick Brazzi for an in-depth discussion in this video Managing file storage, part of Up and Running with Office for Android Devices.
Before we even dive into learning the interface…in the Office apps, I think it's important…to figure out file management.…Where are your documents stored?…How are you gonna access them?…Once you create a new document,…where are you going to save it?…Kind of important, right?…So let's look at the options, and I'll start…by launching the Word app.…Now on this startup page, you'll see a short list…of the most recent files that you've opened.…Now, I don't have much here, because I've barely…used this app at all on this device.…There are also some options to create new documents…based on templates, including the blank document template.…
For now, I want to hit this button…at the bottom of the screen,…that says "Open other documents,"…which takes me straight to this screen,…which is known as the backstage view.…Now we're gonna talk more about backstage later.…For now, I just want you to notice the "Open" option…on the left sidebar is currently selected.…So I get a bunch of options for where I can open files from.…I can access Recents, but that's not really useful…
