Manage Android Studio updates
- [Instructor] Android Studio is updated frequently, and you'll need to know how to manage those updates. The updates are always optional, and there are many times when you may want to freeze your version of Studio and its associated components. For example, when you're getting ready to release a particular version of the app, and you don't want to change your version of the tools, but, barring those considerations, it's a good idea to keep up with the constant improvements that Google makes to the product. There are a few ways to manage the updates. Each time you start Android Studio, it checks over the web to see if there are updates available, and, if so, you'll see this events notification in the welcome screen. You can click the notification and then click update, and you'll a description of what's available. So for example, when I was recording on one day, I had Canary seven, and now Canary eight has been released, and I can choose whether to accept it. You can also check…
