Install device drivers on Windows
- [Instructor] When working with a Mac, you simply need to connect your device via a USB cable to your computer in order to run your applications. However, on certain versions of Windows, you may need to install a device driver. To see if you need to take any extra steps for your device, connect it to your computer via USB cable. And then from the Start menu, look for the Device Manager. In the Device Manager, look for the Portable Devices or Other Devices section, depending on which one you see. I have Portable Devices. When I expand this, it shows me that I have one device currently connected. It's a Google Pixel phone. Let's take a look at its drivers. To do that, we'll right click and then go down to Properties, and then over to the Driver tab. If we need to update this driver we'll select Update Driver.
