Install a device driver on Windows: Android Studio Essential Training (2016)

Before configuring a physical Android device for testing on Windows, you'll need to install a device driver. This isn't required on Mac OS X, where devices connect automatically. If you're using a Google Nexus device, the driver can be provided through the Android SDK Manager. If you have a device from another OEM, you'll need to get the driver from their web site. A listing of OEM's and their driver download pages is available through the Android developer web site.
