How property animations work

How property animations work: Android App Development: Animations and Transitions
How property animations work: Android App Development: Animations and Transitions

Property animations were introduced in Android 3.0, Honeycomb. For developers, that’s API 11. While view animations only work on View objects, and frame animations require multiple image resources, property animations can be used to animate anything in an Android app. You can change any property of any object using the same sort of tweening you see in view animations. Property animations support custom interpolations, so you aren’t confined to changing properties in a linear fashion - using an interpolation, you can slow down or speed up at the beginning or end of an animation, you can create bounce effects, and much more.
