- One of the most well-known productivity tips is "Do it now." This means instead of writing something on a to-do list and putting it off, just quickly do it. This is a great concept and can be incorporated into your email handling to keep your inbox and emails under control. It can be overwhelming if your email inbox consistently holds a large number of emails. Where do you start? And are you sure you haven't missed something important or forgotten it? Although it's often not possible to complete every action associated with an email as soon as it arrives, it is beneficial to determine if an action is needed and star, also called "flag" in some programs, the email you can't immediately respond to, so they're safely stored in a separate list you can use as your to-do list. The easiest way to set up this system is to create a folder that shows you every email that you've not yet read.
