- [Instructor] In order to preview our app, we are going to create an emulator for an Android phone. If you already have one created or know how to create one, you can skip this video. From the Tools, Android menu, choose AVD Manager. You can have different screen sizes and different versions of the OS. At the bottom of the window, you can see a Create Virtual Device button. Click on that button and you will be shown a screen where you can choose the type of device and its size. We're going to create a phone, so select Phone on the left side. You can see that there are several different phone types you can choose. For our purposes, we're going to create a Nexus 5 device. Press Next. You can choose the version of the OS. If you haven't downloaded a version, you can do so here or in the x86 images panel. We're going to choose the latest version of Nougat. Select Accept, and press Next. Press Finish.
