Apps need permission to accomplish certain tasks. Beginning with Android 6, permissions are categorized as either normal or dangerous. A normal permission has to be declared in the app manifest, but that’s all you need to do. For example, to open a socket to communicate over the Internet, you need permission, so you add the tag to the manifest that specifies "android.permission.INTERNET"
