Accessible data visualization: Android App Development: Accessibility

Meaningful graphics content such as charts or maps are common solutions when data visualization is necessary. Providing an alternative description of the data is usually sufficient enough. However, it does not offer a good user experience to assistive service users. Android has a very good way to deal with that: Virtual Views through the use of the ExploreByTouchHelper. Using this API allows your users to explore data visualization graphics by touch and get the distilled information for each data point without having to create additional subviews.
