Using Visitor Retention reports

The visitor retention reports, and reports and analytics, are really all about how many and how often, visitors are coming back to your site. This can be helpful in understanding things like how long your conversion or sales cycles are? How sticky your content is in keeping people coming back, and how loyal your customers are over time? Let's start with the basic return frequency report. This is more of a histogram style report, where six buckets are used to show you where things fall. Here, I can see that for this particular website, if people are coming back to my website, it's pretty much happening on the same day. The return visits report, is simply a metric level report, that trends the number of visits coming from return visitors over time. If I have a business goal of business loyalty, then this might be one of the KPIs that I'd like to see going up into the right overtime.
