Learning how campaign tracking works
As a marketer you probably employ lots of different methods to drive traffic to your website. You probably run search campaigns, display campaigns, you probably do email marketing, and you probably even do some offline advertising. When you're spending time, money, and resources on these advertising efforts, you'll probably also want to know, what you're getting in return, and this is where campaign tracking comes in. Let's take an example. Say you're running an email marketing campaign, and a social media campaign to promote a spring sale that you're having. You'll spend the time to create your landing pages, you'll design your email creative, and maybe even try out a couple of versions of it, and you'll put together a release schedule of tweets and Facebook, Google Plus and LinkedIn posts.
