- [Instructor] As you work toward migrating a virtual machine to the cloud, one of the things that you'll have to consider is whether it's better to migrate the virtual machine as is or if you should try to reconstruct the virtual machine rather than trying to migrate it. Sometimes virtual machines can be migrated to the cloud as is with absolutely no issues. Other times, you might find that the migration will go much more smoothly if you take the time to rebuild the virtual machine rather than simply trying to migrate it. When making a choice between migrating a virtual machine as is or rebuilding the virtual machine first, there are a number of different things to consider. One such consideration is how many virtual machines need to be migrated. If you've only got a couple of virtual machines that you're migrating, then it may make sense to take a little bit of time and look at the contents of the virtual machines and see if they could benefit from being rebuilt.
