- [Instructor] So far in this course, I've spent quite a bit of time talking about the various migration methods that are available to you. You might recall the five Rs, re-hosting, re-platforming, replacing, refactoring, and retiring. Even so, there is a lot more to planning a migration than simply picking a migration method. Any time that you're considering moving a workload to the cloud, there are a number of tasks that need to be performed as a part of the migration planning process. So I'm going to show you a few of those tasks, but keep in mind that the tasks that I'm about to talk about are by no means an all-inclusive list. There can be additional tasks depending on the workload that you're about to migrate. One extremely essential and yet often overlooked task is making sure that the IT staff has the necessary training.
