Why it is fine to leave some applications alone?

- [Narrator] When it comes to cloud migrations, there's sometimes the temptation and maybe even a little bit of pressure from those above you in the organization to migrate absolutely everything application to the cloud. But doing so isn't necessarily in your best interest. There are some applications that are better suited to running on-premises. So remember, there's no rule that says that you have to run every single application in the cloud. There's also no rule that says that every application has to be brought up to date and modernized. While that's certainly desirable, sometimes you can do more harm than good by attempting to migrate and or modernize an application. Sometimes there are very justifiable reasons for leaving an application alone. So what types of applications should be left alone? Well I've got a few examples, but before I delve into these, I need to clarify that I'm generalizing. I'm in no way suggesting that these type of applications should be left alone in…
