- [Instructor] One of the really important things that you need to understand about the migration process is that the act of migrating a virtual machine to the AWS cloud doesn't eliminate the need to properly license the operating system that's running on that virtual machine. So when you migrate the virtual machine, Amazon is going to require you to pick a licensing option and there are three licensing options available to you. The first of these options is auto. And when you choose auto, which is the default choice by the way, the appropriate license automatically gets assigned to the guest operating system. The next choice is AWS, and when you pick the AWS option, then the operating system license that currently exists on the virtual machine is going to be replaced by a license that's issued by Amazon. And then the third option is called BYOL or bring your own license. And when you choose this option, then the virtual…
