- [Instructor] A lot of times when you hear someone talk about cloud migrations, they talk about it in a rather generic sense. But there are actually several different types of cloud migrations and in the real world it's rare to only use one type of migration. Typically, if you're going to be migrating multiple workloads to the cloud, you're going to use several different types of migrations and the reason for that is really simple. Every workload is unique and it has its own needs. So, a workload migration technique that works really well for one workload might not necessarily be the best choice for another workload. So, it's extremely important to pair the migration technique that you're using to the workload that you're migrating to make sure that you're choosing the best technique for the workload. Throughout this course there are five different types of cloud migrations that I'm going to be talking about. I like to refer to these cloud migration techniques as the five Rs, because…
