Testing the failover process

- In the previous video, we created an architecture that should allow our primary web server to fail over to a secondary web server. So let's go ahead and put it to the test. Right now, I've got a command prompt window open and I want to perform an NS lookup on the poseydemo.com domain. And when I do that, there are two results that are returned. The first result points to a server on my own network, so we don't have to worry about that. The second result is the one that we're interested in. In this case, this points to our primary web server. So now I'm going to open a web browser and I'm going to go to poseydemo.com, just to make sure that that web server is working. And we're taken to the internet information services default page so clearly our web server is working the way that it's supposed to. So now let's go ahead and switch over to the EC2 console.
