Test in the Alexa Developer Console

- [Instructor] Now we're going to test out our skill in the Alexa developer console. So we implemented the addition and subtraction intents and now it's time for us to test that out. So from the console itself there is a test link at the top so go ahead and click on that test link. And you would get this prompt to allow developer.Amazon.com to use your microphone. So you'll want to go ahead and click on allow. And initially by default testing is disabled for your skill. So you'll want to toggle this option at the top. And here is the interface that we will be using to test out our skill. So just a quick overview of what this is. On the left here is the Alexa simulator so you can interact with it in two ways. The first way is that you can actually type in what you want to say to Alexa here in the text box. Or alternatively you can click and hold down the microphone and speak like if you were speaking to Alexa. And then speech…
