Solution: Set up an X-ray instrumented application and monitor it via ServiceLens
(bright upbeat music) - [Instructor] To solve this challenge, first, I created a new sample demo application from the ServiceLens stock page. I used the set up demo app to create my application. On the list of option, I used the launch a sample application. Next, I used a long sample application button to start configuring my cloud formation stack. On the template section, I left all the options at default. Next, on the stack details, I named my application xray-challenge, and picked a Subnet and a VPC for my EC2 instance. On the stack options, I left all the options as default, and finally I checked to acknowledge AWS CloudFormation might create IAM resources checkbooks, and created the stack. Once the deployment was complete, I navigate to the Elastic Beanstalk service from the services menu at the top left corner.
