ServiceLens overview
- Service lens was introduced to the AWS ecosystem, in order to bridge the gap between CloudWatch and X-Ray. It provides a single view with unified CloudWatch details, like metrics, logs and alarms, and combines them with x-ray trace information. We can use service lens to quickly and easily identify the resources, that are experiencing issues or too much traffic. When the CloudWatch Logs and metrics are combined with x-ray trace information, we are presented with a map of all our services and how they interact with each other. And also, we have details about the nodes that are failing or experiencing too much traffic. The Service Map consists of nodes, indicating the individual components that are part of our application. And, each node will have the service icon to quickly identify the service type. And also we have edges, connecting the different nodes together, which indicate the traffic…
