- [Instructor] Before we create our Cloud9 environment,…we want to follow AWS best practices…and create an IAM user to do so.…So from the main page here…let's click IAM and go into that section.…Here we'll click users and then add user.…We'll name this user Cloud9User.…Then give it both programmatic…and console access…by the way of these two checkboxes.…We'll choose custom password…and provide a value for that.…
Be sure to remember this for the next step.…And we'll require password reset…for when this user first logs in.…Click next, permissions.…Amazon recommends that we create two groups,…a users group and an admins group for Cloud9.…Right now, we'll add this person to a new group…by clicking create group.…This group name will be Cloud9Users…and we do want to give it a policy…so it can actually perform some tasks.…So filter Cloud9 down here…and choose Cloud9User…by selecting the checkbox.…
Now by doing this,…we're going to be giving this user…certain privileges within the account.…So it's always a good idea to expand this section…
