- So we've talked about getting the data ready on our local network, exporting it, backing it up, whatever method we use to get it ready. Now, we've got to get our Cloud ready, so that it can receive this data. And to prepare the Cloud, it means getting the databases to exist that we're going to put this stuff in. So the first thing is to create the database instance that we're targeting. And this is something we'll have to do manually if we're not using the AWS database migration service. Keep in mind, the AWS database migration service, can take your local database and import it into the Cloud, creating the database instances and so forth, all at the same time. But if we're not using that, then the instance that we create should basically match the on-premises version. Again, I want to reiterate.
