Although these technologies are in their early stages, they will be key elements of an organization's technology stack. AR stand for augmented reality. Augmented reality is the idea of bringing the digital world into the user's context. Pokemon Go is probably the most popular example of augmented reality. VR stands for virtual reality. Virtual reality is the idea of building a completely new digital context around the user. Headsets like Oculus Rift and Google's Daydream and Cardboard offer virtual reality worlds. In their strict definitions, AR and VR are two ends of a spectrum from small inclusion of technology with a user context to complete reconstruction of a context.
