- [Instructor] So the next thing that I need to do is a communication test to make sure that the virtual machine is able to communicate with other resources on the network. I want to begin by doing a ping test to make sure that the virtual machine is able to communicate with my domain controller, which also happens to be the DNS server. So to do that, I'll ping the DNS server IP address, and the ping is returning, which means it's good. And you have to press control-C to get the ping to stop. So I'll do that now. The next thing that we need to do is to ping the same server by its fully-qualified domain names. So that way we can make sure that DNS name resolution is working, so I'll go ahead and do that. And the ping is successful. So that means that our DNS name resolution is working. I'll go ahead and terminate the ping. And then one more thing that I want to do is to ping AWS so that we can make sure that this virtual…
