Key AWS services for infrastucture protection

- [Instructor] There are a number of key AWS services that you should consider for infrastructure protection to secure your application stacks thoroughly. First up, AWS shield. This is a service which everybody gets to use for free, it's bundled in the price and what it does, it protects all customers against the possible DDoS attack. It does its best. It's not something that you set up, it's just there. What if that doesn't catch the attack? What else can I do? Well, I can also protect using an additional component of Amazon called the web application firewall. And the web application firewall allows me to set in place rules as to whether or not traffic will be allowed or not, to my applications. Now keep in mind, it's public access we're concerned about here. If you're on a private network, we don't really have any of these issues of internet access. So internet access traffic can be protected further with the web…
