- [Instructor] I grew up loving the cartoon The Jetsons. Imagining a utopian future where my voice was all that was needed to accomplish anything was miraculous to a kid who grew up on a labor-intensive Midwestern family farm. The Jetsons accomplished the work of life by the effort of robots that lived with and around them. In this video, we're going to cover the core building blocks of AWS RoboMaker and begin to imagine what it would take to build the world of The Jetsons through the use of a Robot Operating System, the internet, and connected devices. AWS RoboMaker is built as four core components: cloud extensions to the Robot Operating System, or ROS, a development environment, a simulation service, and an over-the-air fleet management system. These core components work together to enable robotics operations and testing quickly for almost out-of-the-box development of robotics solutions.
