Hard vs. soft bounces in SES
- If you're maintaining an email list of past customers for marketing purposes, you should expect to see a few emails bounce on every email campaign. And while you may not drill down into why a single email address bounced back what if a hard-earned lead bounces? You may want to check that out. Or what if you were using SES to deliver important notification emails to your users from your application? Such as an approval to add a new contact to their network or an email to remind them that they need to update their billing info in your system. Or tracking numbers for a recent shipment. In these cases, individual users might even reach out to you with questions as to why they aren't getting your emails.
