Yes, you now know why I don't have a singing career. But database maintenance is important. You can't just put a database on the network and say, "There it is, everybody. "Have fun with it, I'll be back next decade." Instead, you have to maintain them over time. This is the role of a DBA within any organization, and it really doesn't change for the cloud. If you're going to be a database specialist in AWS, you're going to be a person that's going to have to maintain these databases. Now, since databases require maintenance, we need to think about what processes we need to define related to maintenance. There are several processes.
