Designing a software-defined data center at AWS

- [Mark] To properly understand the AWS cloud, you have to first master how AWS networking works. That's the goal of this class. To provide enough detail about Amazon's software defined network stack and how you can deploy your two and three-tier applications. My name's Mark Wilkins and I've been involved with the cloud and specifically the AWS cloud for the last six years. I've worked with many different types of AWS customers and the reality is pretty well the same for everybody I've worked with. "Hey Mark, what are these AWS terms? "And where exactly do I go after I log into the console?" Terms like, VPC, Internet gateway, egress-only Internet gateways, security groups, NACLs, and of course subnets and IP addresses are some of the many concepts that we're going to be covering. After taking this class, you will be well on the way to mastering AWS networking and understanding what you should do and what you should avoid. Sound good? Great. Get a big cup of java and let's get goin'.
