- Okay, so I'm logged into the virtual machine instance that we created in the previous video. Now we need to configure the server to act as a web server. So what I'm going to do is click the start button and I'm going to launch server manager. Now I'm going to click on manage and I'm going to choose the add roles and features option. This is going to take me to the add roles and features wizard. I'll click next on it before you begin screen. On the installation type screen I want to make sure that we choose role based or feature based installation and click next. Next I'm going to choose to select a server from the server pool and there's only one server in the pool that's this one. So I'll just click next. Now I'm prompted to choose the server roles that I want to deploy. Now remember we're configuring the server to be a web server.
