- [Instructor] When we take a look at the reliability aspects, as far as design principles for creating reliable infrastructure, it all starts with availability zones. If we look at the top, right we can see that we're in Northern Virginia. If we're in Northern Virginia, we have a certain amount of resources available for us to use. We can't really see the exact locations but we can view the number of availability zones available for our application. So let's go in and take a look at what's available in Northern Virginia. And probably the easiest way to look at availability zones is to go into EC2 instances. So let's go into EC2 and once we're in EC2 we can scroll down and get an idea as to the zone status. And we can see there's one, two, three, four, five, six, A, B, C, D, E, F. And so we have six availability zones in this geographical area at our disposal. This might mean six data centers. It might mean 12 data…
