Deleting a snapshot of an EC2 instance

- [Instructor] It's important to periodically delete your unwanted or unneeded snapshots in AWS. Removing old snapshots can help you to reduce clutter, and to reduce cost. So let's take a look at how it's done. Right now, I'm logged into the EC2 dashboard, and you can see my instance. What I'm going to do is go to snapshots. You can see that we have one snapshot that currently exists. So I'm going to select the snapshot, which it's already selected by default. And then I'm going to go to the actions menu, and choose the delete option. I'm prompted as to whether I'm sure that I want to delete the snapshot. I'll click "Yes Delete." And the snapshot has been deleted. So that's how you delete a snapshot in Amazon AWS EC2.
