- The final piece to our puzzle, which we've talked about some throughout this chapter already is the Database Application. So we talked about the Database Management System, the thing that talks to the database on behalf of the users and applications. When we talk about the concept of a Database Solution or a Database System, not to be confused with Database Management System, we're talking about the whole thing, right. So a Database Solution or Database System, includes the Database, the Database Management System, the users, and the applications they use to actually access the DBMS, which accesses the database. So this is where the database application fits in fits in between the users and the database. It could be a program, they run on their computer. It could be a webpage that they go to.
