Creating a snapshot lifecycle policy

- [Instructor] As handy as it may be to be able to create snapshots of EC2 instances, you generally don't want to have to create those snapshots manually. I mean, think about the virtual machines that are running in your own data center. You generally don't back those up manually, instead you use a schedule process that handles the backups for you. And you can do something very similar inside of EC2. So let's take a look at how that works. Right now, I'm logged in to EC2 and you can see that I've got an instance, and I'm going to click on Lifecycle Manager underneath the Elastic Block Store section. This is going to take me to the Welcome to Data Lifecycle Manager screen. I'll click on the Create Snapshot Lifecycle Policy button, and now I'm taken to a screen that allows me to create a snapshot lifecycle policy.
