Creating a new AWS account
- [Instructor] The first thing that must be done before using AWS is to create a new master account and master user. All that is needed is an Internet connection, an email account, a credit card and a phone, which is used for identity confirmation. While it does not cost anything to create an account, most of AWS services have a cost associated with them. So AWS requires a valid credit card to be associated with the account. The basic steps to creating account are you go to aws.amazon.com, click the create new account button, enter a valid email address, a password and an account name, which you can change later if desired, indicate whether or not you intend to use the account with a company or just for personal use, and then continue to fill in some additional contact information.
