Create a passive web server
- [Instructor] In some of the previous videos we created a Windows-based EC2 instance and we configured that instance to act as a web server but this course is all about disaster recovery. So what I want to do is create a secondary web server that will act as a passive machine and that eventually configure things so that if our primary web server were to fail then client requests are automatically redirected to our passive web server. So in order to make that happen the first thing that we have to do is to deploy a second web server. So as you can see, I'm logged into the AWS Console and I've got the EC2 dashboard on screen. And if I click on running instances you can see the web server instance that I created in some of the previous videos.
