Create a VPC with public and private subnets
- [Instructor] The first thing that we have to do in building our demo environment is to create a virtual private cloud or a VPC as Amazon likes to call it, with both private and public subnets. So the first thing that we need to do is to go into the VPC dashboard and you can see that I've got a VPC option right here on my list of recently visited services. But if you need to access the service directly then what you can do is scroll down, and then locate the networking and content delivery section, which you can see just above my mouse pointer, and then click on VPC. This will take you to the VPC dashboard. Now that I'm in the VPC dashboard, the first thing that we have to do is to launch the VPC Wizard. So I do that by clicking on the launch VPC Wizard button, then I'm given a choice of which type of VPC I want to create.
