Create a Slack app and add it to your workspace

- [Instructor] Now that we have our Slack channel and workspace completely set up, now is time to create a Slack application. So let's talk about that. There's an option up here that says Apps, you're going to click on that. And then you have an option to browse the app directory. Let's click on it. Now in here, you're going to find that Slack has all kinds of third party integrations, such as calendars, project management tools, and a lot more. But we are, after all, software developers. So let's go up here to the right top corner where it says Build right next to your workspace name. We're going to make our own. There's a button here that says Start Building. We're going to click on that. And we're presented here with the option to create a Slack app. You can give it a name DevOps App or something similar, and then choose the workspace that you want to assign this application to.
