AWS Patch Manager is a service provided by Amazon Web Services for patching your server estate. The configuration of this service is straightforward and can also help patch your on premise assets. As part of configuring Patch Manager, you need to provision two roles with IAM (Identity Access management) roles. This video shows you how to create a role that you will attach to your EC2 instances so that they can interact with the Patch Manager API. In addition to this another role is required to run your maintenance schedule.
