- [Instructor] A cost-effective resource is a resource that is using the correct services, the appropriate amount of resources and the proper configuration. If we break these words down, the appropriate service meaning computer storage, the resources, the size of the resources, and the configurations probably an automated configuration. All of these things we have to consider when we're creating a cost-effective resource. So before selecting a service, evaluate its costs. We're going to use Compute. Would Containers be better? Maybe Containers would be better, but your team doesn't know anything about Containers. So should the next newer application that's going to be developed use Containers as kind of a benchmark as to what we could save? If it's storage, we typically use virtual hard disks or EBS volumes.
