- [Instructor] The next thing that we need to do is to verify that our virtual machine is able to communicate both with our internal network, and with the outside world. As you can see, I'm on the menu that we left off on in the previous video. What I'm going to do is use option 10 to exit the menu, and that's going to take us to a Command Prompt. And of course, if you're already at the Command Prompt, you don't have to go into the menu just to exit back out. You can do the communication test from right here. So to do the communication test, we're going to use a series of ping commands. So the first thing that I want to do is to ping my vCenter Server's IP address. (keyboard clattering) And you can see that I'm getting a reply, which indicates that communication with the vCenter Server is successful from this virtual machine. Now, if you're used to a Window's environment, you'll recall that a ping will eventually stop. But…
