Configure SNS
- [Instructor] Amazon Simple Notification Service, also known as SNS, is a service that manages the delivery of messages to subscribing endpoints, or clients. SNS is widely used with Amazon CloudWatch. CloudWatch alarms can be configured to send notifications to SNS topics, which will then be received by subscribing endpoints. SNS has two types of clients: publishers and subscribers, also known as producers and consumers. Publishers send message to an SNS topic, which is a logical access point and communication channel. Subscribers consume, or receive, the message over one of the supported protocols when they're subscribed to the topic. The supported protocols include HTTP or HTTPS, e-mail, SMS, Lambda, and Amazon's Simple Queue Service. To start using SNS, you create a topic and control access to it by defining policies.
