Learn how to compare the cost of server-based vs. serverless architecture for HA and elasticity.
- [Narrator] As we're nearing the end of our look at…high availability and elasticity for…servers and services on the Amazon ecosystem,…we return again to the diagram that we started with.…So, when you're considering your application implementation,…there really is substantial difference in cost…to how you choose the services for not only the…front end and service layers,…which include the middle tier and data,…but also for the internet layers,…as we just saw in the previous movie about…Route 53 and in some of the other services…we talked about like BPCs.…
So to that end I've pulled together a summary…of the way I see modern cloud architectures…manifesting in my customer base.…So, server based architectures,…which in the Amazon Ecosystem use EC2 for compute,…S3 for files,…RDS for data storage,…Redshift for data warehousing,…and Elastic MapReduce for Hadoop…or huge batch data workloads.…I consider the past in terms of HA and Elasticity.…They have the highest service costs…because we're not time slicing.…
Generally we're using servers in most…
