CodeStar uses the AWS CodeBuild service to build your development code, and test and deploy it. Like Lambda, CodeBuild is serverless so there are no servers to configure or maintain. You use CodeBuild to specify the location of your code and then configure the build settings. CodeBuild handles the full process.
- [Instructor] Next from the CodeStar dashboard,…we're going to look at the build tab.…When we tap on this, it opens up…the CodeBuild management for our project.…From here, we can delete the CodeBuild project,…we can also look at the details,…and look at the build history.…We can see that we've only built once,…and it was successful.…We can look at some of the repository details on that.…We can also build triggers here…like we could in CodeCommit, for different actions…to take place whenever a build occurs.…We see the project metrics, and we can also look…at other aspects of our project on the left.…
And we can look at build history…for all of CodeBuild, metrics, and other resources.…Again, we were able to build our project…without doing anything, just when we create it.…CodeStar set all that up for us, and this is very handy.…We're able to focus specifically on the code…and the functionality that we need to do,…and everything else is taken care of for us…for the continuous integration, continuous delivery.…
