Applying a snapshot to an EC2 instance

- [Instructor] In the previous video, I showed you how to create an EC2 snapshot. In this video, I want to show you how to restore that snapshot. So as you can see, I'm logged into the EC2 console and I'm looking at the available snapshots. So the first thing that I want to do is assign a name to the snapshot. And the reason for that is that in a production environment, you can sometimes accumulate a lot of snapshots. So it's important to name your snapshots, just so that you can tell one from another. So I'm going to go ahead and click on the pencil icon. And the snapshot went with a virtual machine that we called Current. So I'm going to call the snapshot Current VM Instance Snapshot. You can obviously call your snapshot anything that you want. Now, the next thing that we need to do is to make note of a couple of pieces of information. We need to note the capacity, which you can see right here is 30 gigabytes. And the…
