AWS-generated cost allocation tags

- [Instructor] AWS defines and applies the createdBy tag to supported AWS resources for cost allocation purposes. To use AWS-generated tags, a master account owner must activate this in the billing and cost management console. When activated by the master account owner, the tag is also activated for all member accounts. The createdBy tag is only applied to the following AWS products: AWS CloudFormation, AWS Data Pipeline, Amazon EC2, Amazon ElastiCache, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Amazon Glacier, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon Relational Database Service, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Route 53, Amazon S3, AWS Storage Gateway, et cetera. A full list of supported services and resource types can be found on the AWS online documentation. To activate the AWS-generated tags, I'm logged into the AWS Console. I'll click on my display name on the upper right-hand corner, and then click on My Billing Dashboard. On the left navigation pane click on Cost Allocation Tags.
