Now, our refrigerator shows us our family calender and sends us our grocery list. Our dryer begins its work and tells us when it's done, and how much energy used while on the load. All of these appliances including our thermostat, garage door, home lighting, television, and door locks send information about our home to us no matter where we are. They all take advantage of the connected Internet of Things, or IoT. The amount of data created by internet-connected devices is predicted to be so vast as to be difficult to measure.
