A great way to capture the passage of time is by shooting a time-lapse. What is a time-lapse? They are videos where you put photos together that were shot over a slow interval. These photos record how time passes. Author Richard Harrington explains what a time-lapse is and gives a broad overview of how to shoot them with your Sony a7 Series camera.
(light electronic music) - I'm a big fan of time lapse photography. I love to see the passing of time. We've come outside the mill here, and we've got great clouds in the sky.
So what I wanna do is actually see those clouds in motion. By shooting at a slower interval, essentially one shot every few seconds, when we play that back as a movie, time speeds up and it's a really cool effect. Now if you're interested in time lapse, I have extensive training available here in the online library, so you're welcome to check out some of those courses. What I'm gonna focus on here are the essentials to do it with your Sony a7 series camera.
